Assignment #1
How is your image different than a simple ID photograph?
My images are different than a simple ID photograph because it shows side profiles and uses an object of interest for the viewer to focus on in the image.
What lighting techniques did you use ?
I used an umbrella to reflect a light onto Kaitlyn and i used a back light so there would not be a shadow.
What is the feeling / mood that is set by the combination of lighting and your model?
The feeling/mood is very calming yet striking by the pop of color and the dark background.
What could you do differently to heighten that mood?
Change the lighting to be more darker/gloomy or use more light and color for a happier colorful photo.

Why did you select the image?
How is the image compositionally dynamic?
How does the viewer's eye move around the image?
What technical considerations did you make when shooting the image ( aperture, depth of field, shutter speed, etc.)
- I selected these images because I think I photographed these well and they all are unique in their own way.
How is the image compositionally dynamic?
- My first image would be considered compositionally dynamic because i used the law of thirds to put the pole on the third line and the power lines in the back are dramatically proportional from the pole.
How does the viewer's eye move around the image?
- The viewer's eye moves around the image by looking first at the pole because it is lighter than the other objects in the photograph and moving towards the power lines in the background.
What technical considerations did you make when shooting the image ( aperture, depth of field, shutter speed, etc.)
- I took this image on my phone so the shutter speed was fast, the f stop showed a big depth of field and a fast shutter speed which allowed lots of light to go into the camera to take this photograph.
Assignment #3
Why did you select to combine the images you chose?
-These are my best two photographed images in this class.
What message or mood is conveyed by their combination?
-Dark, mysterious, gloomy
What part(s) of your image do you feel were particularly successful? Why?
-The proportion of Kaitlyn and the clean lines around her from the background image because they make the photo look realistic like Kaitlyn was actually in the background image.
What would you like to manipulate further/touch-up?
-I would like to touch up some of the edges around Kaitlyn because you can kind of see the background from her original portrait image.
